Got new fan!
I just got myself a stand fan. Blade diameter is 18" and the blades themselves resemble an aeroplane's propellers. That probably explains why it sounds like a plane engine when running at high speeds.
The reason I got this fan is because of my room's air circulation. Sometimes the air is stagnant, and coupled with the heat generated by my computer, causes the room temperature to be a few degrees higher than the rest of the house, even with my ceiling fan running. So this fan I got is used to pump air in or out of my room as needed.
