Thursday Super Outing
Hey there ladies and germs,
OK, I curi that intro from I can't remember where, but anyway, CSP had a crazy outing planned for 1st of May. It consisted of:
Kana came to pick me up from the 7-11 outside my housing area to go breakfast. On the way we were supposed to grab Dizzy, but she was still in Dreamland when we pulled up at her house (next time have to call her 1 hour before fetching her...). So we went to Hilltop coffee shop and met Jack there, the only one of the group that showed up early. I ordered my breakfast but Kana and Jack decided to wait for the others. OK, Slowly but surely the rest of the gang showed up. First Dori, then Dizzy, and lastly Pharell and 540. The rest will meet up when we reach the wildlife park.
The Wildlife Park
Upon reaching the Lok Kawi Wildlife Park, we were greeted with rain. No, not the singer, but the original stuff that comes from clouds. It wasn't raining too hard, so we decided to go in anyway. The ticket was priced at RM10.00 for Malaysians (adult) and RM5.00 for Malaysian children. Non-Malaysians will be charged double the price. I don't get it, why must they gouge foreigners so much. I think senior citizens get to go in for free or for a reduced price. I can't recall. The good thing is, since our group was 13 strong, we managed to get some discount from the entrance fee.
So we went around shooting animals (heh heh) So I'll let the pictures do the talking, with minor comments.
Two parrots grooming each other:
Are you looking at me?
After walking around the park and sweating it out, we decided to rest and adjourn to eat lunch... and some engage in some camwhoring (some of these pics courtesy of Dizzy, who was trigger happy heh heh)
I don't dare post the other picture that is similar to the above, or else I'm a dead duck.
On the way to Tanjung Aru beach, we stopped off at Giant supermarket in Putatan to grab some tidbits, and I saw this moth inside a glass container, apparently dead, but still in one piece:
Off to the beach we go, and it was very windy that day, due to a storm brewing off the coast. We were literally eating sand, and I didn't dare change my camera lens in that kind of wind.
Since we were at the beach, there was an attempt to build a sandcastle, but since we suck, sand sculptures were the next logical thing:
This is me trying to warp it so that it looks straight:
I failed...
There was a night session (eating dinner in KK) but I didn't follow that one. Everyone was tired after a whole day out, so a few participants decided to KO at home.
